- Aniere, my name is
Picasso!
- And why not Scopias when you were Greek!
- Are you joking?
- No! Of course not!
- Aniere, are you a good player?
Firstly, I'll introduce you to one way of looking at
things. It was my blue period of memories, fear
and fancies.
Secondly you'll get a strong fear of dis-unity and deliberate incoherence!
Look at these portraits yoked by violence with my cerebral rather than my emotional
brush.
It came to me that a stream of consciousness depends on the use of free associations.
Look at this kaleidoscopic face which conveys the
multiplicity of life. Beyond
the diversity of these geometrical drafts, I constitute the unit of her face
as a metamorphosis.
I use overlapping geometrical plans one in another to form a deposit, an external
being whose significant appearance seems to be diffracted. However in this fractured
vision, I find depths of her being.
What I give the World, is an idea which defies time.
Dora Maar is the scorpio-woman,
the one who makes the existence of the World debatable. She is someone out of
the ordinary.
Marie-Thérèse is the natural woman. She
is one of those who admits the existence
of the World without discussion. She is beloved.
- Picasso, where have you come from? You have given the world a new dimension. You have transcended the pure pictorial technique to create individuality. You have your own border line of the conscious thoughts that are the free flow of mental life.
- Aniere, Man is mortal. Life
is transcient. Art has the ability to fuse the temporal with the eternal.
